The new cloud: Adobe Experience Cloud

At Adobe Summit 2017, Adobe unveiled Adobe Experience Cloud, and as they themselves define it, it is a comprehensive set of cloud services designed to give enterprises everything they need to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Comprised of Adobe Marketing Cloud, Adobe Advertising Cloud and Adobe Analytics Cloud, Experience Cloud is built on the Adobe Cloud Platform, leveraging Adobe Sensei’s machine learning and artificial intelligence capabilities.

So, making a quick comparison over what we had before Summit…

and after it…

…we found a few differences, so let’s proceed to explain all the clouds.

Adobe Marketing Cloud offers an integrated set of solutions that empower marketers to craft experiences that differentiate their brands, connect with customers and proactively engage them. Adobe Marketing Cloud includes Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Target, Adobe Campaign, Adobe Social and Adobe Primetime, and helps brands accomplish the following at scale: manage, personalize, optimize and orchestrate campaigns and customer journeys.

Adobe Advertising Cloud is the industry’s first end-to-end platform for managing advertising across traditional TV and digital formats. Combining capabilities from Adobe Media Optimizer and recently acquired TubeMogul (in December 2016 for $540 million), Adobe Advertising Cloud simplifies the delivery of video, display and search advertising across channels and screens.
Adobe Analytics Cloud is the customer intelligence engine that powers businesses by enabling them to move from insights to action in real-time by uniquely integrating audience data across all Adobe clouds.

Adobe Analytics Cloud combines Adobe Audience Manager, the leading data and audience management platform, and Adobe Analytics, the industry leading solution for applying real-time analytics and detailed audience segmentation across all marketing channels. Built on the Adobe Cloud Platform, which provides open APIs, a standard data model, and Adobe Sensei, Adobe’s unified AI and machine learning framework, Adobe Analytics Cloud enables brands to better capture, aggregate, rationalize and understand vast amounts of their own disparate data and then translate that data into singular profiles of their customers.

Because it’s from Adobe, Experience Cloud integrates with Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Document Cloud, allowing you to create amazing content and speed up your business with digital workflows.

As a reminder here we have a quick snapshot of these Clouds.

What is Creative Cloud?
Creative Cloud gives your business everything it needs to design standout customer experiences for any device or touchpoint. Create and collaborate efficiently with connected desktop and mobile apps plus cloud services like Adobe Stock. Get advanced encryption and secure deployment options to protect your content. And optimize results by integrating with Adobe Marketing Cloud.

What is Adobe Document Cloud?
It’s everything you need to create all-digital document workflows (quickly, securely, in the systems you already use).

Adobe Document Cloud includes:

  • Adobe Acrobat DC
Adobe Acrobat DC is the latest version of PDF software after Acrobat XI. It’s the complete PDF solution for working anywhere. It works with Document Cloud services to give you a consistent online profile and personal document hub so you can create, edit, sign, send, and track PDF documents wherever you are—across desktop, mobile, and the web.
  • Adobe Sign
Adobe Sign is a cloud-based e-signature service that lets you replace paper and ink signature processes with fully automated electronic signature workflows. With it, you can easily send, sign, track, and manage signature processes using a browser or mobile device. And you can use turnkey integrations and APIs to include e-signature workflows in your enterprise apps and systems of record.
  • Mobile and web apps
Take your tools with you as you move between desktop, the web, and mobile devices—and pick up that form or document where you left off. Document Cloud online services work in the background to put the tools you need at your fingertips—wherever you go. With the Adobe Acrobat Reader mobile app, you can create, edit, comment, and sign PDFs directly on your mobile phone or tablet. And with Adobe Document Cloud web apps, you can work with PDFs and manage e-signature processes from a browser on any computer.
